Biologist / Yoga Instructor
Sophia Melachroinou graduated from the Department of Biology at the University of Athens in 2004. She then obtained two postgraduate titles: “Applications of Biology in Medicine” (Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Degree in Biology and Medicine, Athens School of Medicine, 2006), and “Nutrition and Dietetics” at the Harokopion University of Athens in 2012.
The responsibility, validity and reliability of the Biomedical/Microbiological Laboratory’s results and its upgrades in the quality of its services, had an essential part in her undergraduate thesis in Biology at the NCSR Research Center since 2006. She has also participated in publications in international journals at Democritus and Harokopion University.
In 2013 she decided to deepen her philosophy and practice in Hatha Yoga by completing her 200-hour and then 300-hour training course at Ghyta Yoga School (Complied with the requirements of the international Yoga Alliance certification). In 2015 she attended prenatal Birthlight Yoga teaching seminars for a deeper understanding of the beneficial effects of yoga during pregnancy.
