Clinical Dietitian
Iliana Karagkouni is a Clinical Dietitian (HCPC Registered Dietitian-DT 29779), with a Msc in Applied Dietetics awarded by Harokopio University, Dietetics/Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Greece.
Furthermore, she is a Registered Nurse with a Msc in Healthcare Services Management awarded by Nursing Department, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA).
She is also a PhD candidate in Medical School of Athens, NKUA, with research interests in clinical nutrition, dietary behaviors, cardiovascular health, public health & quality of life. From 2015 she is a research associate at the Center for Health Services Management and Evaluation, NKUA. She has participated as a research fellow in projects funded on a European level in the fields of health and social care services management and health and social inequalities amongst vulnerable population groups.
From 2017 she is a scientific associate at the 2nd Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Menopause Clinic, NKUA, Aretaieio Hospital. Furthermore, she is a Clinical Dietitian in the private Maternity Hospital REA. Peri-menopausal & post-menopausal women, individuals with chronic diseases, individuals with rehabilitation needs, children/adolescents, pregnant women and athletes with clinical situations constitute some groups of individuals that she has dietary managed and monitored.
Regarding her academic experience, she is a certified tutor in public and private academic institutions and she is also clinical coordinator in dietetics and nursing students. She has publications in scientific journals and active participation in a wide range of European and National congresses.
